Post- Intraocular Lens Insertion Surgery Eye Drop and Medication Usage Instructions:

Use Immediately after surgery

Vigamox

(antibiotic)

On the Surgery Day

  • Vigamox + Prednisolone every 2 hours until bedtime
  • Cosopt once before bedtime
  • Artificial tears as needed.

From the next day of surgery to about 1 week

  • Vigamox + Prednisolone 6 times a day (approximately every 3 hours)
  • Artificial tears as needed.

Oral Medication

  • Anti-inflammatory: Twice a day for 2 days (morning and evening, 30 minutes after meals)
  • Eye pressure medication: Take a s needed
  • (if severe headache and vomiting occur, take with orange juice, may cause tingling in hands and feet due to diuretic effect)

* Note: Follow the eye drop usage instructions as per medical staff guidance. Administer each eye drop with a 3 to 5-minute interval, regardless of the order.

Post-Intraocular Lens Insertion Surgery Precautions

  • On the Day of Surgery: Pain, tearing, and blurred vision may occur due to surgery. Close your eyes and take sufficient rest.
  • Next Day: TV, computer, smartphone use is allowed, take breaks in between.
  • 1 Week After: Stop wearing plastic eye shields while sleeping, gentle face wash, haircut, skincare, light exercise, smoking.
  • 2 Weeks After: Eye makeup.
  • 1 Month After: Alcohol drinks, perms, dyeing, hot baths, saunas, strenuous exercise, swimming. Avoid prolonged head down positions, lifting heavy objects, and semi-permanent makeup.
